Who is responsible for your data

AI Hosting Index is run from Cyprus, an EU country, by George to write: your full name or company name, and your postal address, who is responsible for your data.

You can reach us through our contact page or by e-mail at .

Visit statistics

When a page has loaded, your browser sends our website a short message so that we can count the visit. For each visit we count, we store:

  • the page you opened, and the address of the page that sent you to us if your browser passes it on
  • the words you searched for, when a search engine includes them in that address
  • the text your browser sends with every request (its "user agent"), and the browser, device type and operating system we read from it
  • your IP address, the number that identifies your internet connection
  • a coded form of your IP address, which lets us count repeat visits correctly and block abusive traffic
  • the date and time of the visit

We do not count robots and search engine crawlers. We use no cookies to count visits and store nothing in your browser.

To see roughly where our visitors are, we send the IP address of each counted visit to ip-api.com, a lookup service. It tells us the country, the city and the internet provider. We use its free service, which works over a plain connection without encryption (http). We keep its answer on our server for 7 days, in a file whose name is a coded form of the address. That way the same address is not looked up again in that time.

The ip-api.com website does not say who runs the service or in which country it is based (we read its pages on 25 October 2026). It states that it holds the address in memory for no more than a minute to answer the lookup. It also states that it keeps no log of lookups.

We keep the IP address of each counted visit for 12 months. After that we delete the address and replace its coded form with a new one that cannot be traced back to it. The rest of the record stays in our statistics: the page, the referring address, any search words and the browser details. So do the country, the city and the internet provider. If we block an address because of abusive traffic, we keep it for as long as the block lasts.

Without the address, we keep the rest of each visit record in our statistics with no fixed time limit.

Only George sees these statistics, in the admin area of the website.

Clicks on Visit buttons

A Visit button takes you to the provider through a short address on our website that starts with /go/. We count the clicks on each button per day, together with the page and the place on the page where you clicked. We add your country when our statistics already know it. We store no IP address or other detail about you with the count, and we set no cookie.

To stop one person from inflating the count, we keep a small counter for each visitor, link and day. Its name is a coded form of the IP address. It holds only a number and counts no more than 3 clicks a day. We remove the counters of past days regularly.

Messages you send us

If you use our contact form, we store your name, e-mail address, subject and message, and a coded form of your IP address. We use the coded address only to stop too many messages from one connection, and we use your details only to answer you.

Your message is kept in the admin area of the website, where only George reads it. We keep messages sent through our contact form, and the details stored with them, with no fixed time limit.

You can ask us at any time to delete your message and the details stored with it, and we will then delete them for good. This is one of your rights, described under Your rights.

Server logs

Like any web server, the server that hosts our website keeps technical logs of the requests it receives, and these include IP addresses. Our host is SiteGround. Its privacy policy gives no fixed period for these logs. It says it keeps personal data only as long as the purpose it was collected for requires (we read it on 26 October 2026).

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you. You can also ask us to correct it, delete it or limit how we use it. You can object to our use of it too, or ask for your data in a form you can take to another service. Write to us through our contact page.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In particular, you can complain in the EU country where you live or work, or where you believe the problem happened. In Cyprus, where this website is run, that is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.

Cookies

Our public pages set no cookies. Our cookies page explains the few cookies used in our admin area.
