Runpod
Runpod rents GPUs by the second, such as the RTX 4090, H100 and H200, in vetted Secure Cloud data centres or a cheaper Community Cloud.

Runpod, Inc. is a US company that rents GPU pods billed by the second. Its Secure Cloud uses tier 3 and tier 4 data centres run by vetted partners. The Community Cloud charges less per hour for the same GPUs. Pods run in 31 regions across Australia, Asia, Europe and the US. Runpod also sells serverless GPU endpoints and self-service clusters of 16 to 64 GPUs.

Who it suits, by its features
- Short GPU jobs on a wide choice of cards, from the RTX 4090 to the H200, billed by the second.
- Serving your own model without a running server: Runpod Serverless scales its workers to zero.
- Lower hourly prices, if you accept machines from its Community Cloud.
Before you buy
- Keep your work on a volume disk: the container disk is erased when a pod stops.
- Load credit first: a pod needs enough for one hour, and pods stop when the balance runs out.
- Runpod does not say which GPU runs in which data centre, so its plans show under neither our EU nor our US filter.
- Our guide to GPU clouds by the hour compares it with the other hourly clouds.
